CONTINUUM by Ronald Llewellyn Jones is a deeply introspective narrative chronicling the aftermath of a traumatic bike accident in Houston. What begins as a recounting of physical injury gradually unfolds into a layered meditation on mental health, identity, and the search for meaning. Instead of filing a report or seeking justice through official channels, the narrator chooses to take a road trip to California with his cat, Kitty, as a form of personal healing.

The trip becomes a vehicle for emotional and existential processing. As he travels westward, the author reflects on the societal indifference he experiences as a Black man, the trauma of being dismissed, and his struggle with suicidal ideation. Each stop on the journey is both physical and metaphorical—an opportunity to reclaim space, to feel safe, and to witness himself with compassion. Through photography and the companionship of Kitty, he documents his environment and inner world, slowly piecing together a sense of self-worth and clarity.
